The Duchess of Malfi at the Old Vic <-- That's an interview with Harry Lloyd, Eve Best & Jamie Lloyd and it's sort of fascinating because other than general anticipatory glee I hadn't really thought about this production but 1) Harry & Eve are playing twins? I do indeed wish you luck and speedy trains, and I am mightily jealous. (YAY Propeller!)

I didn't think the Olivier noms were that bad this year. Although no way does Collaborators deserve to be nominated for best play! Mostly I am pleased about The Ladykillers' five nominations. I know it won't win most of them, but if it doesn't win best set design, it will have definitely been robbed! (and I have actually seen everything in that category too. :))

They're a lot better than last year's lot it's true but there are still things I think got overlooked in favour of bigger shows but I guess that's inevitable. I'm glad Ladykillers got some nominations, and the Noises Off ones and there are only a few I wish weren't nominated it's more that there are things I wish WERE iyswim

I didn't get to see that much London stuff last year (I mean, there was plenty of theatre, but not particularly in London, or not new stuff, and even The Ladykillers and One Man Two Guvnors were up here), so I don't have the same perspective I guess. And it's mostly the smaller stuff that I miss anyway. Why don't I live nearer and have more money? *g*
