The Duchess of Malfi at the Old Vic <-- That's an interview with Harry Lloyd, Eve Best & Jamie Lloyd and it's sort of fascinating because other than general anticipatory glee I hadn't really thought about this production but 1) Harry & Eve are playing twins? I don't think I knew this was a play with twins and there's a good 12 years between them but we shall see and 2) Harry appears to be going through a vaguely incestuous brother phase doesn't he... well he's basically fantastic at whatever part he turns his hand to but it's an interesting area to repeat!

Incidentally, while I'm on the subject of theatre, did I ever talk about the Olivier Award nominations and how, despite seeing ALL THE THEATRE last year, I yet again either haven't seen a lot of the things nominated or just plain disagree. *sighs* On the otherhand this year I know more about the nominating procedure and therefore it doesn't really surprise me that some of the brilliant gems don't get through. If Much Ado wins anything I will be MOST unimpressed however and if Sheridan Smith doesn't win Best Support you may well see me walk out if you're watching the red button coverage closely :-P

Tomorrow I'm off to see Propellor do The Winter's Tale. Or at least I am if I manage to get there on time because Kingston is faaaaaaar away and I can only leave work half an hour early. Wish me luck & speedy trains!

(why yes I am work avoiding, between fighting with a pptx fuil this morning, trying not to stab a condescending man who was "helping" and then trying to figure out the new facebook timeline thing I am fed up with EVERYTHING at work)

theatre, awards
