It's so gorgeous and sunny outside and I want to be out there and not stuck in here! Ages ago I'd planned to take this afternoon off so I could get to Kingston in plenty of time and wander around the shops & near the river and in this weather it would have been perfect. Sadly it's E's last day in the office before she takes 3 weeks off so I have to be here for a handover and instead I'm going to be making a mad dash :-/ Still a mad dash in the sun is better than one in the rain!

Yesterday evening our Lent Group continued the course we looking at on Sacraments by looking at Marriage and Ordination. Well I say both- we actually barely got onto Ordination at all which was annoying because there were some quite interesting thigns I wanted to talk about and instead I got 2 hours of a whole room of married/widowed/divorced people and ME talking about marriage which wasn't at all awkward and weird.

In other news I read The Hunger Games whilst I was away and am now desperate to see the film but knowing my cinema-going habits we shall see. I've got books 2 & 3 to read as well but presumably it shouldn't matter too much if I read them after the film. I'm rather afraid, from reading the odd film review and hanging out on the edge of fandom, I might be going to dislike one of the characters everyone seems to love :-/ but maybe that's because I haven't read the other books yet.

Oh and because I KEEP meaning to post properly about this and I still clearly haven't got round to it- CSI with added Ted Danson? Not as bad as I'd feared but I think I'm still waiting to be entirely convinced which isn't surprising after only 2 episodes. He's certainly changing the dynamic of the team again.

This post is somewhat fractured and on random topics, sorry about that!

To finish in the same vein though I would recommend checking out Geek and Sundry if you haven't already and then subscribing to their new YouTube channel (in fact maybe head their first to see all the info on the shows). It looks like some shows will be more my thing than others but apart from ANYTHING else they're turning series 1-4 of The Guild into mini-movies in the week leading up to the launch and then they'll be showing series 5 as part of their programming and if you haven't been watching The Guild then it's going to be a GREAT way to catch up.
