Some men might be better at reading some kinds of map... I would have tensed!!!

Well indeed, it's a hugely sweeping generalisation and I think sometimes generalisations are understandable as a rhetorical tool but I'm not sure it was a very sensible one to use in a room full of 1000 feminists! She did follow it up by saying that we didn't need to be perfect at reading maps because we can ask for directions!

I liked what she said more than I disliked some of the individual bits iyswim
