I like it! I did tweak a few things earlier when I fixed the spacing issue, I'll have another look later and see what more can be done. I am semi-familiar with the Brig via the Sarah Jane Adventures and various fanfics, but I might go back and see some of his classic who stuff since I need to watch more of that anyway!
thanks again for all your help love! If you ever need betaing or anything, all ya gotta do is ask- I'd love to return the favor X)

I really enjoyed this but there was one thing that jarred as a Brit was River using the word gotten. I am not sure she would, because she speaks in quite a formal way. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would just say be careful when you're writing for a British English speaking character because it would be a shame to spoil great writing with a word or phrase that might be out of place.

thanks for the Britpicking! I do appreciate it. I've tried my best to write in character but as a lowly Texan teenager I do slip up occasionally. I've changed it to "received". anything else in particular that stood out?

Nothing that stood out. If you ever want a Britpicker, let me know!

I'd love that! Thanks!
Would you be interested in doing so regularly? If you PM me your email I could send you things I'm done with before I post them. It wouldn't be all that incredibly often- I'm not even finished with the second chapter yet.
thanks again for your help luv! :)
