Thanks for your good thoughts groovybc. Yeah, parental in my case too. "Your family comes first" has been so deeply instilled in me (from extended family, everyone) that breaking away has been a looong and ongoing process. I think I'll have "I'm an adult" and "my choices, my choices, my choices" on repeat in my head for the next few days.

the words alone (w/o knowing the circumstance) speak to me. I hate weakness as well but sometimes we are forced (not by people but by the universe) to be more submissive then we would like. I hope you find some sort of zen in this.
