It’s felt like forever since I’ve written anything fun, I feel, for this pair.

Holding it up before her, she scrunches her nose. “Susan,” she turns to her sister, “what is this?”
Susan purses her lips, tilting her head. “It looks like a cape,” she thoughtfully replies. “It might be like our coats.”
“To keep us warm?”
“I think so.”
“How do you put it on?”
“Like this.” Susan takes the fabric from her sister and swirls it around Lucy’s shoulders. It falls around her dress, half-hiding it.
“How did you know that?”
“I guessed.”
Both girls laugh as they leave the tent, almost blinded by the bright sun after the relative darkness of their tent.
