Author's Note: This is quick ‘n’ dirty (for definition see the
F. A. Q. or
check this post for the definition).
A poll for Valentine’s Day was recently run, the prompt decided upon courtesy of the poll and a story, as per the usual custom, was written.
This is actually a snippet from a longer story I wrote over the past few hours and somehow, I end up posting this later than I’d expected. I’m not happy with the rest of the story so it wasn’t posted.
The events of the entire story occur over the course of an entire night; this was simply part of that night.

Blaster fire was suddenly heard in the distance. “Uhree! Uhree!” The urgency couldn’t be mistaken. Padmé grabbed a dangling vine and started climbing up, Obi-Wan close behind. Their small ally ran in the direction of the blaster fire. Padmé helped Obi-Wan onto the platform. There was a small hut and Padmé pushed the woven mat aside and held it open for Obi-Wan who pulled her in with him. They both tumbled into the single room and she landed atop him. His hands held her waist and her lips were close to his.
Obi-Wan shifted very slightly. Her breath caught. “Why are you glad Anakin didn’t come?” He whispered into her breath.
“I …” She lowered her lips to his suddenly and cupped his face between her hands. Her body pressed against his, the lightsabre poking into her. Her hair fell more freely from its restraining combs and bands and his arms slipped around her. They rolled over, still kissing, until, finally, their faces drew apart. “We can’t.” A breathless murmur. “We. Can’t.”
“We definitely cannot,” he agreed, just as breathy.
Her face rose to meet his and she tore his tunic open. With luck, their guide wouldn’t return too soon.
