Author's Note: This is quick ‘n’ dirty (for definition see the F. A. Q.).This began life as a story for River and became a love letter to Amy and Rory during the writing. And I will probably write more

Yeah; glad I'm not the only one who is going to quite frankly ignore the Doctor's grief and focus on River's. To be blunt; Amy is just the latest companion to the Doctor. A special one; perhaps, but the evidence suggests no more so than Jamie, Sarah, Ace or Rose. But to River it's her parents - they may not have raised her traditionally; but they've been in her life for such a long time.
