A small boy watches from his window, chin on his arms.
The clock doesn’t move and he stifles a sigh. He couldn’t have been so wrong, could he? She’d stay. He knew she would. She just had to believe.
Didn’t she?
The clock still doesn’t move.
His eyes stay where they are. She had to. She was the daughter of Snow White and the charming Prince who were so very in love.
She had to believe. She had to!
The smaller hand moved.

He suddenly smiles; it grows, brightens.

“She’s staying,” he whispers into his arms. “She’s staying.”
