Poor Arthur, *has no word*
Ironically, when I read up history and seeing America's 'nope, not putting our boys to go to war that isn't about his home' attitude to be so logical it's refreshing. It's just a personal opinion, and you know, if they have UN peace corps (? I'm not sure I'm using the right jargon) then I'm sure the help would be much thanked for. But their stance was understandable, right? And I like them when they aren't making preemptive wars and all that mess.

...I've completely lost what I was trying to say now.

From a personal perspective I can completely understand the American 'glorious isolation' stance of the early 20th century, especially when the two world wars were so far away in lands that didn't really concern them too much. That period of US history from the point of view of its development as a nation is significant in that it stayed aloof of the rest of the world in favour of developing as an entity. (Young countries' history can be very interesting, especially in view of the development of national character and stances, if you're ever interested, try reading up on German history. It's really quite revealing as to why the world wars would happen ( ... )
