Last week was the annual CT United Ride. It's a 9/11 memorial ride and one of the largest rides in the state. Cheryl and I do this one every year, even the year it poured rain the entire ride. This year it was a cloudy in the morning, but pretty much perfect weather for the entire ride.

I was lucky enough to be able to attend the Second Annual Northeast Blogger Shoot Meet & Shootin' Spectacular this year, and despite the distance (hey, this much fun isn't legal in many states!), I'm glad I did. Spent the day with da boy taking the NRA basic pistol class. This is a class intended for adults and meets the training qualifications for a concealed carry permit here in CT. It's really not geared toward a 12yr old. I suspect some of the adults there thought he was just tagging along with me, especially since he was acting pretty bored though ( Read more... )
