Interesting one shot! (I think it was a one shot.) Instead of using his anger to in a way handle his problems like he did in season four, he wants to move forward, finish college and work to make his dreams happen. He seems so more mature, like he accepts what happened, even though he still get painful reminders of it. I also get why he wasn't able to stay at the Cohen household, it seems more realistic, or at least it makes what Ryan had together with her more strong and bigger. Not like in the show where he lives in the pool house, granted not in the beginning, but even so. You write him very well.

This isn't a one shot, its more of a futur fic. I think that Ryan at that point was more into his futur than going cage fighting so it does make some sense, also i think he would cut with his past.
