Staying Motivated

I had a bit more difficult time keeping my goals this week because I was just so burnt out from working so many hours last week. Monday and Tuesday I pretty much spent in a vegetative state but I made up for a lot of it by working double time at the end of the week.

A little advice for the water drinking...Get a 1 liter nalgene bottle, and keep it near you at all times. Since you aren't used to drinking a lot, make yourself drink a decent amount every hour. Keep an eye on your urine color as that will tell you very quickly how dehydrated you are. Once your urine is a very light color or clear, you can back off drinking a bit. Try to maintain that color. Ideally you should drink 4 liters of water a day in the summer. You should feel a pretty substantial health difference once you do this consistently. You may also want to set an alarm to remind yourself to drink water. I personally never have this problem, I drink water like crazy because the military beats it into your skull. But for those not used to it, I can see how you're used to ignoring the signals to drink. Just remember, if you're thirsty, you're already a liter down in water, so start drinking.

I'm not sure what the real name is. It's the one where you tap from your fingers up to your occipital region and then your third eye to your occipital region. And then run energy along those pathways to help you see with what you sense through your hands and third eye rather than just your physical eyes.

When I was in school, and especially when I was active in gymnastics, I used to carry around two 1.5 L bottles of water and drank at least two or three of those a day. Now that I'm working, though, I have back to back patients, usually two or three at a time and am running around nonstop, even during lunch breaks. So taking water breaks is a bit more difficult when I'm running around the gym and back and forth to people's rooms and my water bottle is sitting in the office. Most days I struggle to drink even half a liter of water a day and most of that is on my car ride to and from work. I already watch my urine color, though, and despite all of that, it usually doesn't show any signs of dehydration. I often seem to be excessively thirsty, though, particularly at night.
