Sunday July 2, 2006 ~11:55 pm
I had a bit more difficult time keeping my goals this week because I was just so burnt out from working so many hours last week. Monday and Tuesday I pretty much spent in a vegetative state but I made up for a lot of it by working double time at the end of the week.
June 18, 2006 Goals
1) Begin and end each day with a prayer of gratitude. (I kept up with this pretty well, although I forgot to do it a few days.)
2) Practice QiGong daily. (I’ve been doing my Tai Chi ruler exercise faithfully every day.)
3) Get at least 5 hours of sleep each night. (I’ve actually kept up with this as well, although I cut it a bit close a few times.)
June 25, 2006 Goals
1) Practice my Medical Qigong form at least 3 days a week. (I didn’t end up doing any Medical Qigong until Thursday, but did it once Thursday and twice on Saturday to make up for it, so I still met my goal of three times at least.)
2) Do 3 sets of 10 push ups and 3 sets of 10 supine leg raises daily. (I did them Sunday, but was too burnt out Monday and Tuesday. I made up for it by doing lots of extras for the rest of the week, though.)
3) Do at least 5 minutes of sword work every day. (I completely fell through on this goal. I didn’t even pick up my shinai until Saturday night, and even then, probably didn’t even do five minutes worth.)
My new goals, in addition to keeping up with my prior goals, are:
July 2, 2006 Goals
1) Practice my Medical Qigong form at least 5 times a week. (I’m upping the numbe rto 5 and just have to work really hard to make it a part of my daily practice. I think just the few times I practiced it last week have really helped to balance me.)
2) Do Manna’s third eye technique daily. (Every year at the Gatherings, Manna teaches us a neat exercise to help us see auras and I always intend to do it, but always let it fall to the side. So I’ll just make it a goal so I’ll stick to it.)
3) Drink at least 6 cups of water a day. (Lately I’ve just felt permanently dehydrated so I’m going to make it a goal to increase my water intake.)
I’ll keep my pushups and leg raises as they are right now, along with my 5 hours of sleep a night. Not quite ready to up them yet, mainly due to time issues for both.
I did some Reiki on my mom’s back tonight which actually helped her out a bit. Usually it’s very frustrating working on my mom or sister because they don’t usually feel a big difference. I don’t do Reiki very often because I have a hard time telling if I’m actually doing anything, as oppposed to chakra balancing where I can perform specific flows and can feel when the energy reaches the designated area or when an area has become saturated with energy and it’s time to move on. Tonight it felt right to do Reiki, though, and I’m glad it worked out. It’s nice to have a variety of healing methods to choose from.
For the past two weeks I was also doing some chakra balancing on my karate sensei’s thumb which has had a lot of swelling and he said that it’s helped a bit as well. It was nice being able to go back to my old school and visit.
This week I also went to my sister’s capuiera practice (a dance form of karate) along with Reggie. It was fun and a nice work out, but not something I think I could devote a lot of time to. Reggie and I have created a new training schedule which we’ll hopefully be able to stick to. It’s a nice way to start the month and he’s really helped me stay motivated this past week.
Guess that’s it for now. Have to head off and make sure I keep all my goals for tonight. I think I might need to print off a copy to keep track of them.
