I want to go to HKG again when my financial situation becomes more stable but definitely not during summer. I am a sucker for winter/autumn weather.. :þ
Hehehe.. yes, a very long time ago, our very first meet! Your pictures will come soon enough, don't worry.. *grins* You look pretty all the time. *bleahh* I am planning the series that come with a theme and also I want to arrange and gather facts too. My memory of Hong Kong is getting rusty.
Beautiful pics...can just imagine walking under those flowering trees with the warm sunshine and cooling breeze blowing about. Sometimes when looking at pictures taken in the past, I reflect on where I have been, where I am and wonder where I will be.
Like the character played by Jen Anniston in "The Breakup"...when she lamented about how they could no longer be together..." I don't know how we got here..." rings such a poignant note. Fate? Destiny? Karma? Linear Existence? Take your pick.
Thank you! ;þ It was indeed a beautiful place under that certain season, temperature and weather. And better off if with someone you like.
Sometimes, I refuse to give in to fate. We have to be a fighter to achieve happiness. I know it's tough but we gotta do what a man gotta do. We give up from time to time, but we also stand back up.. I guess it's something we do till we die.
Sorry, new to this so I don't know how to leave comments that do not belong in the Public arena No worries, I remember my first time with Livejournal and it took a little while to fine-tune and adjust. Welcome aboard! You can leave your comments anywhere you see fit. :) I have faith you will soon shed your skin into a beautiful LJ-butterfly.. hehe
Very nice journals with so many photographs taken by you. To say that you're talented is an understatement. >grin< Thank you so much for the compliment, I'm flattered. I still have a lot to learn, and I'm sure I have something to learn from you. What's your name by the way?
Ummm, I guess i should thank you for befriending me. :DYou remind me of a growing-up phase I never had; walking to campus from your bachelor pad. That whole academic village living experience is something I have always yearned and part of your writing and pictures took me there. Thanks. Keep on writing and snapping

This morning I was watching the Travel Channel and Globe Trekker came on. The host was in Kowloon and Hong Kong. Suddenly, remembered I had saw a post from you about the city. :D
I'm glad I remembered and came back to see the photos and read what you wrote. Everytime I watch a show about Hong Kong, it makes me want to go there. I get so hungry to taste the life there.
I like the last photo of kowloon the best. Sort of like a building hiding behind a veil. :)
Also, I like the song you attached to the end of this post.
I am glad the entry reminded you of Kowloon, Ben. You must visit Hong Kong one day. It's truly a magical place. It's charming, and full of mystery waiting to to explored.
I like the last photo of kowloon the best. Sort of like a building hiding behind a veil. :) Do you share the same sentiment as the image, wanting to be behind the scene..?
I like the song you attached to the end of this post. I liked the song too. It's from a rare soundtrack in which Michelle Yeoh was in it called The Touch (a movie which flopped but the soundtrack is brilliant!)
I think that is part of the lure of Hong Kong to me, I feel there is something for me to find, some unknown part of myself that I can explore.
Do you share the same sentiment as the image, wanting to be behind the scene..?
Acutally, I do. I nearly mentioned that in my original post. Life behind an embroidered screen. In a lot of my writings, I put people behind screens or hide them behind veils and curtains.

Cool. I like hearing the little gems out there that few know about. There is an American movie "Xanadu" with Gene Kelly and Olivia Newton-John that is like that. THe movie was a flop, but the soundtrack is really good.
Hong Kong is a huge place. Two weeks were not even enough for me to explore. I have a great feeling you will find yourself there. It's tourist friendly and this city has not lost its culture and identity in the midst of the development.
Oh Ben! I have watched the film Xanadu and heard of the Olivia Newton-John song. If I'm not mistaken it has some fantasy (magic) in it right?
