Studious girl!

In this corner of the moonlocket space, Mizuno Ami is de-transformed for once, studying in her room and making notes while listening to a Kuroki Mio CD she's conveniently been able to procure in a different dimension. It was probably a gift from the artist ( Read more... )

[Twitch... twitch... That's...]

AAAAAARRRRRG! Turn that stupid music OFF!

Congratulations, you've startled her. Ami drops her pencil. She doesn't even pick it up before she's turning to the intruder.

"Venus!"

For a moment, she has the automatic urge to transform. Then she takes in that tone, and a few other very subtle differences. She knows this Venus; the Dark Kingdom.

"I was studying," she says a bit sternly. She reaches to turn the music down, but not off.

[Twitches again, resisting the urge to turn off the music herself... or worse, smash the player. Stupid Mio, messing with her energy gathering, getting her in trouble with Beryl. Instead, she tries to ignore it, going to look at what Ami's working on. Before long though, her vision swims because of the complexity of the math.]

You really are Mercury-chan's counterpart. [Wrinkles her nose.] Why would be listening to that though? I HATE Mio! She's stealing my fans, and I'm going to get in trouble with Beryl!

"I don't think anyone needs to worry about Beryl," Mercury says. But she does oblige as far as picking up her pencil, tucking away some of the notes, and finally turning the music off. After all, if it bothers this Venus that much, she may as well.

"If you don't like it, I need new music to listen to," she suggests. It would be somewhat ironic to listen to Aino Minako music again, but why not when it's one working against the princess and prince?

Wooooah! This sounds awesome!

Does she have rabbit food sewn into her clothes she doesn't know about? Ami puts down her pencil (again). She turns to face Usagi, and stands up, face lighting with that rather pasted-on smile.

"Welcome to the Dark Kingdom, Tsukino-san!"

Waaah, thanks Ami-chan!

[dances. Apparently being in the hideout of her creation's bad guys doesn't bother her. Why? Because Ami-chan's there, that's why!]

Who is this? She's pretty good!

"I've told you before: Don't talk to me like we're friends."

She already knows beyond a doubt this is not her world's Sailormoon. And yet habits die hard, harder than rabbits it turns out, and this girl's carefree existence has always irritated her.

"That's Kuroki Mio," she mentions. "You should meet her." A faint smile at the private thought of what Mio would likely do to an Usagi.

"Welcome to the Dark Kingdom, Black Lady!"

There's a faintly amused little smile, but it fades quickly with the realization that at this rate, no studying will be done today.

Now, which Black Lady? She supposes it doesn't matter. Her alliance with Black Moon may be past its usefulness anyway.

Home? The word makes a certain apartment in the human world come to mind, but she's knows that's not 'home' right now, either. And this is the place she comes back to time and again. Maybe it is home. There's a very small smile at the thought. As long as there's a 'home', it doesn't really matter where or what it is, right?

"Do you intend to enjoy your advantage over me, or tell me which Black Lady you are?" she asks dryly.

Pierre had always hated the Nexus for this little trick, and the locket doesn't seem to be much better about it. Still, it's a little more comforting to be pulled out of a walk, rather than the middle of a villainous dialogue.

The surroundings were oddly familiar, but... not. A twist of a familiar theme, perhaps. While he wracked his brain to figure things out, he walked on this scene. Another odd familiarity nagged at his brain, but he shoved that aside in favor of clearing his throat. "'Scuse me. Have you seen the exit, by any chance?"

What? It's a decent question.

He doesn't recognize her, does he? But it's not like the secret will be a secret for long. Here? When he's a shitennou, and they're in the Dark Kingdom? "Mizuno", as he so gleefully called her last time, quirks a faintly amused smile.

At first, she's tempted to tell him to go down the hall just a little ways and turn... right into Kunzite's room. She squashes the urge, and remembers something else.

As if she's ignoring 'Pierre', Ami rummages around (very briefly; she's a tidy sort of person) a neatly organized wardrobe and produces a pair of boots. Lined with GoreTex no less. She holds them out wordlessly.

Pierre takes the boots with one hand wordlessly, frowning. He cocks his head to the side, then squints at them. Then her. Then them. And he opens a mouth, pointing at the boots before pointing at her hair.

This lasts for a good few minutes.

She outright giggles, and it's actually a far more natural sound than one might expect - albeit extremely rare. That stunned reaction is priceless.

"You should say thank you, Jadeite," she reminds him. A slight glance upward as if she can look at her own hair. "This is a little different for you, isn't it?" She's met alternates who seem to have blue hair in this life as well.

"It blends in with the human world better," she comments.
