Studious girl!

In this corner of the moonlocket space, Mizuno Ami is de-transformed for once, studying in her room and making notes while listening to a Kuroki Mio CD she's conveniently been able to procure in a different dimension. It was probably a gift from the artist ( Read more... )

[Usagi sound sensors on. This...sounds FUN!]

Wooooah! This sounds awesome!

Does she have rabbit food sewn into her clothes she doesn't know about? Ami puts down her pencil (again). She turns to face Usagi, and stands up, face lighting with that rather pasted-on smile.

"Welcome to the Dark Kingdom, Tsukino-san!"

Waaah, thanks Ami-chan!

[dances. Apparently being in the hideout of her creation's bad guys doesn't bother her. Why? Because Ami-chan's there, that's why!]

Who is this? She's pretty good!

"I've told you before: Don't talk to me like we're friends."

She already knows beyond a doubt this is not her world's Sailormoon. And yet habits die hard, harder than rabbits it turns out, and this girl's carefree existence has always irritated her.

"That's Kuroki Mio," she mentions. "You should meet her." A faint smile at the private thought of what Mio would likely do to an Usagi.

But...but we are friends! Even in a different universe and stuff, you're still Ami Mizuno....

[looks at the radio]

Aaah, maybe she exists in my world somewhere! But also, if that happens, I should get you to meet Katy Perry, I hear she plays an electric guitar!

"And in this world, we've never been friends," Mercury points out bluntly. "Treat me more respectfully. Which version of her are you anyway?"

She knows it's not this world's, but that only leaves 23982302832903829302 possibilities. If she rules out a majority of possibilities first. The world nexus Usagi has so obviously come here through is practically a rabbit breeding ground.

[looks saddened by Mercury's words - at least, it's in her eyes. Still, she answers as cheerfully as she can]

Um, well, I'm the one who lives in Illinois?...

The one who's not a senshi. Maybe that's good enough. Maybe that's an excuse. But if she's really not a senshi, she was never involved in the past. She was never involved in the present. She has no ginzuishou or prince to destroy the world. She's not putting herself in the Dark Kingdom's way.

It doesn't mean she wants to see Usagi, especially here and now, but it might save Usagi's life.

"You should go back there quickly," she comments.

Um....ok.

Still, though, that's a cool song! Thank you for letting me listen to it!

She can't help a smirk and a snicker.

"Graceful as ever, Tsukino-san."

Um...I think I'm stuck here for right now.

Sigh. She's not going to get any work done this way.

"I have something to do, Tsukino-san. Don't make a nuisance of yourself." Mercury turns back to her desk, and makes a few new notes on whatever she'd been working on. But the train of thought is long since lost, and she gives an audible small sigh this time.

I won't! I promise!

[thumbs up]

I'll be quiet like a mouse!

Was she ever the sort of person whose personality meshed well with Tsukino Usagi? The sheer volume of difference between her and the girl overtaking the corner of her room is staggering and almost makes Ami doubt those vague memories.

Curiosity demands a different question. Ami turns around once it's clear she won't recapture her earlier ideas immediately.

"Are you still writing your story?"

Mmm! We're just about to have Metallia defeated for good, and...I'm hoping we can figure out how to put the time travelling robot into the next major plot!

[she seems pretty happy about it]

I suggested the time travelling and Minako-chan suggested the robot.
