In the rose garden

It's a lovely day, the sun shines with strength and the sky has a beautiful blue color on it. However it's easy to see that there's something wrong with this sky. The blue is beautiful but darker than it should, almost a navy blue and there are no clouds, instead the whole sky seems covered with small dots of light... Stars when the sun is glowing ( Read more... )

Where is he now? It's certainly pretty, but Endymion has no eye for that beauty in the first moments of annoyance at finding himself moved by the nexus yet again.

He spots only a boy who, admittedly, looks as lost as he feels himself. But he has no one else to ask.

"Hey, which way to the front gates?" It's best to leave without drawing too much attention. He doesn't notice, yet, how familiar the face is.

She isn't lost, just looking for her friends. Something she wouldn't have to do if she hadn't been late for their appointment, all because a certain Earth prince decided to take as much time as possible in the shower. Actually she is sure he wasn't in the shower the whole time, probably just was sitting happily and saying that he was there just to not let her use the bathroom. Just because the previous night she had helped him with his dinner... By slamming it into his face after his millionth time mocking her grades ( ... )

It would be his luck that the stranger knows his alternate.

The news that he's on a space station is far less surprising; after all, he'd attended Starfleet Academy for awhile. Is he back there? It doesn't look familiar...

"It's nothing," he says. "I need to go back and get something." This provides him with an excellent excuse to get out of here to look for a way back to his world. He hopes.

What? No counter attack? No annoyed glare? No mocking remark?

Serenity stares and blinks at him, as if he had grown a second head. Whatever, but what does he mean with having to go back and get something... Oh, he must mean the bedroom. But why is he telling her? Did he lose his key?

Wait, it could be a trick to leave her out of the room? Well, unfortunately for him, she has two copies of the key, because Mercury mentioned she was prone to lose things so it would be better if she had a copy of it. And she can't lose that copy because Mercury has it, she will just go and ask her for it if it turns out to be a trick. But she can't just go and ignore him, it may be something important for him.

"maa, fine, here you go;" she says as she reaches for her back pocket and hands him the key to the room. "This better not be a trick to leave me out of the room, or you may better be ready for my revenge, consider yourself warned."

Mercury is no stranger to such academies, or their locations on various planets in various star systems. She arrives just at the wrong time and doesn't hear the names he's calling for, but when she sees the lost-looking student, she heads over there to offer help.

"Excuse me," she interrupts. "Are you lost?"

The hair is wrong, but the face and voice aren't. And they are girls, she can't imagine why would Mercury want to dye her beautiful blue hair but; "Mercury! Wow, you look so pretty with that hair color! When did you dye it?" The boy smiles cheerfully at her, looking at her hair with approval and admiration.

"Ah, where are the others? I'm sorry I'm late, my roommate was being a jerk, again;" the disguised princess sighs exasperatedly at the memory.

Dyed...her hair? This person must know her alternate! Alarmed, Mercury desperately thinks of a way out of the situation. She doesn't want to deceive someone, but she can't exactly explain the truth, either.

"I'm unsure of where they are." That's the truth, at least.

"Eh?" She doesn't know? But Mercury knows everything! Or at least everything Serenity has ever asked so far.

"Ah, you stayed behind to meet with me? I'm really sorry I was late;" she smiles at her friend... Or the girl she thinks it's her friend. "Well, when I asked Venus before she said Jupiter had mentioned the greenhouse, maybe for the biology class? They may be there, what do you think?"
