It's a lovely day, the sun shines with strength and the sky has a beautiful blue color on it. However it's easy to see that there's something wrong with this sky. The blue is beautiful but darker than it should, almost a navy blue and there are no clouds, instead the whole sky seems covered with small dots of light... Stars when the sun is glowing

She isn't lost, just looking for her friends. Something she wouldn't have to do if she hadn't been late for their appointment, all because a certain Earth prince decided to take as much time as possible in the shower. Actually she is sure he wasn't in the shower the whole time, probably just was sitting happily and saying that he was there just to not let her use the bathroom. Just because the previous night she had helped him with his dinner... By slamming it into his face after his millionth time mocking her grades.

There was nothing wrong with her grades, they may be low but Mercury said it was natural! After all she had never gone to school properly. Anyway he had took revenge by delaying her, knowing that she was in a hurry... And she had took revenge by locking him in his precious bathroom, he could stay there for days for all she cared now.

And she had taken the key with her... So why is Endymion now standing there feigning being lost? "Endymion? How did you get out of the room so fast?" The boy certainly seems surprised for seeing him... And certainly seems to know him. "And what do you mean with front gates? No one here is stupid enough to not know that there are no front gates in a space station;" really, he can't think she's that dumb, can he?

It would be his luck that the stranger knows his alternate.

The news that he's on a space station is far less surprising; after all, he'd attended Starfleet Academy for awhile. Is he back there? It doesn't look familiar...

"It's nothing," he says. "I need to go back and get something." This provides him with an excellent excuse to get out of here to look for a way back to his world. He hopes.

What? No counter attack? No annoyed glare? No mocking remark?

Serenity stares and blinks at him, as if he had grown a second head. Whatever, but what does he mean with having to go back and get something... Oh, he must mean the bedroom. But why is he telling her? Did he lose his key?

Wait, it could be a trick to leave her out of the room? Well, unfortunately for him, she has two copies of the key, because Mercury mentioned she was prone to lose things so it would be better if she had a copy of it. And she can't lose that copy because Mercury has it, she will just go and ask her for it if it turns out to be a trick. But she can't just go and ignore him, it may be something important for him.

"maa, fine, here you go;" she says as she reaches for her back pocket and hands him the key to the room. "This better not be a trick to leave me out of the room, or you may better be ready for my revenge, consider yourself warned."

It's been a long time since Endymion's really teased the princess or her alternates the way Usagi is used to.

He looks blankly at the key. "What?" Why is she handing him this? And he definitely can't take it; he has to find a way back to his world, and having to return the key later will only make it take longer.

"I don't need your key."

She looks blankly at him now; "Then what's the problem? If you forgot something at our room go and get it? I'm not going to go there to get it for you." She adds the last part as an after thought. She's a princess after all, even if he thinks she's just the son of a noble, she's not his servant at any rate.

There's obviously a communication problem going on here, but Serenity doesn't know about the nexus so she doesn't really notice except that Endymion is being weirder than ever. Not that he was ever a normal guy anyway, the arrogant jerk.

Their room? He's pretty sure that's different.

"I wasn't asking you to get anything, either!" Endymion tells the rapidly-becoming-even-more-strange boy.

All the students live at the academy except on holiday breaks and they share rooms in pairs, it's not that strange. Though if anyone asks Serenity she finds it strange, mostly because she can't share a room with her friends and instead has to share it with this guy.

Serenity frowns, there's no way to understand this guy; "Then what do you want from me? Are your shitennou busy that you have to come to your roommate to talk?" Not that she knows why he would want to talk to her.

"As if I wanted to end up here!" Is this new boy stupid? Didn't he notice the first thing Endymion asked was how to get out of here?

Whatever. Getting pulled into an argument isn't going to accomplish anything, either. Not that his quick retort probably helped to keep things calm.

"I'll find the way myself," he says, and starts away.

Now if he were an exit back to his world, where would he be...?

Endymion is the stupid one. And a jerk. At least in Serenity's opinion, sure he may be a bit handsome -not that much thought, any of his friends is better looking than him-, but his personality ruins it all. He is arrogant, full of himself, mocks her constantly, criticizes her grades as if they were his business, acts as if he owned the universe... And now is all weird. At least now he's starting to resemble again the one she knows.

"What the... Hey! It was you the one who came to me asking weird questions!" She follows him, like hell she's going to let him just be weird and leave as if she was stupid or something. "The front gates... What, the Earth prince is so special he can leave the academy whenever he pleases while the rest of us can't? Get off your horse already, you own nothing here!"

Of course he can; he's not even a student here. The real question is why some weird boy is following him after yelling at him about how much the boy didn't want to see him. (Is this how Nephrite feels dealing with Jadeite sometimes?)

"Stop making a scene," Endymion borrows from older siblings faced with younger siblings everywhere. He continues on his way.

"Yeah, as if you have nothing to do with this. Stop walking away when people are talking to you!" She keeps following him, definitively not going to let him go and do as he pleases and make her look bad. Even if no one was really there to see it or think that.

"You said you didn't want to!" Endymion finally blurts out. He comes to a conclusion: This boy is simply and absolutely crazy, reacting to some script that exists only in his own mind.

"I said you were acting weird for wanting to talk to me! We may be roommates but it's not as if we are friends;" Serenity frowns. Her tone calming just as he blurts out. "Really, what is wrong with you? You aren't really that angry because of this morning that you would want to leave the academy, right?"

Roommates again.

"I told you I needed directions! You refused! Leave me alone so I can take care of things!" He's quickly becoming irritated.

Again with the directions question, it's something simple yet it's wrong, totally wrong. "You have been here longer than I have! Why do you ask me for directions? Besides, the space ship that goes home from here has already left and there's no other way out, where do you want to go exactly?" Really, what's wrong with him today?

It's starting to worry her, even if he's a jerk. Did he hit his head or something? She may not like him but she didn't want to cause him harm; "Ne, why don't you come with me to the infirmary? You're acting way too strange today."

He could say the same about this guy. Even allowing for the nexus, the whole go-away/where-are-you going... is an immature streak Endymion isn't really up to handling maturely himself.

This time, he decides not to waste his breath. He simply walks on. Most layouts of large places like this are at least fairly regular and easy to learn. That means if he follows the main pathways and walkways, he should find the gates eventually.
