How much harm can a five year old possibly do?

There is a Kunzite in the nexus... and he looks... rather perturbed. Why might that be? Well, surely it has nothing to do with the absolute mess that his normally immaculately kept hair has become. There is no semblance left, of the warrior's topknot he always wears, but instead... a horrible mess of horribly done braiding and tangled locks ( Read more... )

Oh, dear. He really does look perturbed. It'd be so rude to laugh, and Mercury struggles valiantly to hold back the giggle rising in her throat like a bubble to the surface.

"Kunzite..." Her eyes rivet themselves to his hair; she can't help it. She can't help giggling after all a second later, either.

Silencesilencesilencesilencesilence... Princess of the moon or not, Master or not... if he can get his hands on that child...!

"Mercury." Glaaaaaaare. "Your princess..."

"The princess?" Mercury looks right, then left, as if half-expecting to see her. Something's still odd, though. Serenity's long since grown out of this sort of-

No, wait. She hasn't, recently. Oh, dear. Mercury has a sudden, lurching feeling she knows which princess did this, and it's the one who's been an adorable terror for the last few days at the Moon Castle.

"I really need to find a way to return her to normal," Mercury frets.

Yes. The princess. Apparently the child grew tired of terrorizing the moon and escaped to the earth instead. And Kunzite is certainly not thrilled about the change of venue.

"How long has she been like this? What kind of spell caused it?" And who can he kill for making it happen?

"What?"

Kunzite pulls up short as he sees a sight he can't believe on any of his alternates. He stares, dumbfounded, somewhere between annoyance and anger and the tiniest tiniest shred of amusement since it's not him.

That amusement that it's not him? Well, it's not going to last for very long... because there's a giggling little princess standing just out of sight who can remember just enough magic to put a spell of distraction on Kunzite... the one with immaculate hair, that is... And while it might not last very long, as she's lost most of her finesse with her age, it should be just enough for her to pull a chair up close and clamber up to start 'braiding' his topknoght.

Even Kunzite's resistance isn't perfect. He stares straight ahead, stunned, long enough for Serenity to get away with her crime. When he snaps back to himself (wondering how the hell he'd managed to space out because he just doesn't)...

He sees Serenity. He gives her a thoroughly disgusted look.

"Nuisance."

Nuisance or not, she's already got her hands firmly entrenched in his hair, and she's definitely not letting go! It's practice, after all, because Endymion told her she should learn for herself! So she simply giggles at Kunzite and continues with her braid.

"Mmm! Kunzite will look better with his hair like this!"

Zoisite seems largely undisturbed by Kunzite's appearance. He gives it barely a look before starting to walk in some other direction, towards somewhere else.

And he ends up right in a small princess' sights, as she giggles a little. His hair is even long enough that she can reach it a little without getting up on a chair! So without a thought, she uses the same spell of distraction that she already used on Kunzite, and darts up to make a grab at Zoisite's long, pretty white hair!

He doesn't even notice. Zoisite's been so tightly wrapped up in his own mind for so long that he quite sincerely doesn't even notice it's suddenly the only thing in him that's moving, like a long daydream or leaving his body behind in soul flight.

He doesn't even seem to notice it once he is moving again. When the princess crosses his line of sight, he simply gives her a somewhat disinterested look.

She giggles at first, as she scampers a little away so he won't suspect anything... But then, when he doesn't react, she looks a little disappointed... It's not as much fun if he doesn't react!

Granted... that attitude isn't going to last long with her, so after a moment, she decides to follow him. Maybe, if she can keep after him, she can braid his hair even more!

Endymion does not know what to make of the leader of the shitennou looking like... that. He tilts his head, as if he can't believe it, as if he expects it to disappear when he looks again, a phantom conjured up by his eyes.

But there's no teasing joke like there should be, no are you trying ladies' fashions? or is that comfortable? or did one of the ladies at court finally get you?

"Master..." The look on Kunzite's face is sullen, sulking, as he realizes that he's been caught in this state... And that means that the younger two shitennou will hear about it as well, sooner or later. He doesn't hurry to try and hide though, as that would only look more foolish than he already does, and simply sighs.

"Your princess is a nuisance, Master."

aroyal_pain April 5 2010, 06:23:55 UTC
Sooner or later, maybe. But if he was planning to run to them with the story, surely Endymion would have made some smart remark or wisecrack by now.

"Wait," he tells Kunzite, to be sure he's got this story straight because it's unbelievable enough to be tabloid fodder, "The princess beat you like this?"

starfleetking April 5 2010, 06:52:03 UTC
If this makes it to the tabloids... This is nothing that will keep the leader of the shitennou from getting some kind of revenge on the princess, once she's returned to her proper age. That sullen irritation that shows at the prince's words though, speaks for itself.

"It seems even at her diminished age, she retains her memory of spells."

"It looks good." This is spoken by a dark-haired Mizuno Ami who steps into view with a rather amused smile on her face. She stops right in front of Kunzite.

"Turn around. I'll take it out for you."

Her teasing, if surprising coming from the shy princess of Mercury, doesn't help the sullen look on his face. However, her clothing is indication enough that something is different about her. Another Mercury, then?

"You will undo your princess' damage?"

waterfell April 5 2010, 06:32:03 UTC
What loaded words.

Ami considers the answers she'll never say, the answers like I don't call her my princess or her damage goes farther than that.

"I can try," she says instead. "If I leave you like this, that look on your face will never come off."

It's probably for the best that she answers as she does, in this situation, for he's in a rather irritable state at the moment. And that fact that Mercury, of all people, is teasing him... Well, it would be amusing if it weren't for the circumstances.

"You speak as if you must see my face often."

And yet, he obligingly turns, because trying to get this out himself would be a hopeless task.
