How much harm can a five year old possibly do?

There is a Kunzite in the nexus... and he looks... rather perturbed. Why might that be? Well, surely it has nothing to do with the absolute mess that his normally immaculately kept hair has become. There is no semblance left, of the warrior's topknot he always wears, but instead... a horrible mess of horribly done braiding and tangled locks ( Read more... )

Zoisite seems largely undisturbed by Kunzite's appearance. He gives it barely a look before starting to walk in some other direction, towards somewhere else.

And he ends up right in a small princess' sights, as she giggles a little. His hair is even long enough that she can reach it a little without getting up on a chair! So without a thought, she uses the same spell of distraction that she already used on Kunzite, and darts up to make a grab at Zoisite's long, pretty white hair!

He doesn't even notice. Zoisite's been so tightly wrapped up in his own mind for so long that he quite sincerely doesn't even notice it's suddenly the only thing in him that's moving, like a long daydream or leaving his body behind in soul flight.

He doesn't even seem to notice it once he is moving again. When the princess crosses his line of sight, he simply gives her a somewhat disinterested look.

She giggles at first, as she scampers a little away so he won't suspect anything... But then, when he doesn't react, she looks a little disappointed... It's not as much fun if he doesn't react!

Granted... that attitude isn't going to last long with her, so after a moment, she decides to follow him. Maybe, if she can keep after him, she can braid his hair even more!

She probably can; Zoisite gives Serenity the most mild of questioning looks, and moves on. He's not sure where he's going, but he doesn't need to be. The point is to move, to haunt this hall as he absently toys with the hem of his cloak looped over his arm.

Soon enough, the chase itself becomes the game, as the princess decides that she wants to follow him without being seen. She's not very good at it, of course, when she can't keep from giggling when he looks back, but she darts back and forth across the hall behind him, hiding behind corners and anything that clutters the hallways and is taller than her. Getting ahold of his braid again... is a secondary goal now!

Zoisite pays the princess no mind at all as he drifts down the hallway and towards another one, drawn onward as if by some somnolent instinct.

And then they come to it: An open room furnished with only a piano.

Oooooh! She knows that he'll be distracted by the piano, because it's Zoisite! It's almost even better than her spell! So Serenity hides outside the door as the shitennou makes his way inside... and waits for him to sit. Then she can braid his hair more!

Zoisite does indeed remain oblivious as he seats himself at the piano. In an unfamiliar place and world, he will make himself content to spend the time this way until he can return.

His fingers find the keys, and Zoisite begins a melody the princess has certainly never heard before if she's heard him play. It has a disturbing, pulling undercurrent to it.

There's a moment as she stays where she is, listening to the music, but she quickly finds that she doesn't like it, for some reason... It's... strange... So, instead, she focuses on creeping up behind the pale shitennou, and then-

Bingo! That long hair, trailing down the back of his cape, and she takes it quickly, trying to be careful as she tries to braid once more!

He is not the same. His playing will not be, either. He continues it, immersed in the music. He feels her more strongly then, but he still ignores her presence as irrelevant.

The white hair is quickly... can that be called braided?

Of course it can! After all, she's a master at this new skill of braiding! And it looks oh so pretty! At least, she thinks so! A masterpiece!

After a while though, when she finishes... she looks a little out of sorts, as if she's not sure what to do now. He's still not reacting!

On the brighter side, this means the... braids, if they can be called that... will stay. Zoisite sits with his back to the little princess until he finally speaks some minutes later.

"Little girls should be careful of staying here."

"Eh?" That makes her look up at him in confusion. Why is that so? Unless... "Mmm, don't worry! I won't get caught! Nobody here knows I'm little, so they can't know it's me!"

"Everyone already knows," Zoisite says dispassionately, as if this doesn't matter in the least.
