There is something strange, and possibly dangerous in the Nexus. With all the other strange and crazy things going on, it might be hard to notice it. If one noticed it, it would start with a feeling, soothing and safe. Then move on as they got closer to recent injuries healing rapidly till they were all but gone. Then when they reached the center

Usagi's eyes widen the moment she realizes what's in front of her, and she hurries towards the unconscious prince, heedless of anything that might block her way. It's fortunate nothing does.

As soon as she's only a few steps away, there's a light that leaves her as Princess Serenity. She seems not to notice that, either, at first.

"Wake up..." They may only have spoken a few times, but he's an alternate.

The voice is still that of his female self. His eyes crack open, still hazy. "Usagi-chan? Princess Serenity?" He doesn't quite realize himself the situation he's in. He slowly uncurls himself and reaches out. "They...hurt Masako-chan."

Wah! Congrats!! :D *throws confetti*

She nods, but as soon as Prince Serenity speaks, Princess Serenity's face falls into a mirror of what his must have looked like when it happened.

"Mamo-chan..." She tries to pull herself together. "What happened to him?!"

"Zoisite...she attacked her! Stabbed Masako-chan with a crystal! She was bleeding!" That leads to a little more awareness, although it's on the panicked side over the coherent. "Oh god...Beryl, he took her!"

Sometimes it just doesn't add up. There are little things that make even her wonder what Beryl's really up to. There are times the princess - Sailor Moon - really does seem sincere. There are ways she can't reconcile the fact that so many more of her alternates swear by - and to - the princess: fealty and friendship and love.

Usually she can ignore these things. But when she finds herself shielding her eyes from a brilliant light, they all come flooding into her.

"What's going on here?" she demands, and then she sees it: a man, with the glowing sigil of the moon. Ehhhhh?!

"Jupiter? Yes, it's Jupiter. He and you are the same." He's still in a daze. It may be a while before he regains his senses enough to give a clear answer. "They all were right, I was the Prince this whole time."

aww *cling!*

She doesn't care about that! The identities were revealed fairly early on, for Jupiter and her companions. She stares at Prince Serenity, but it's not as hostile as it might be at another time.

"Prince..." Then she puts the moon sigil together. "Serenity?"

"Apparently...that is who I am." He uncurls and smiles at her. "Are you okay?"

Ami knows it: She knows that she has comrades now, people involved in her life; and she knows that the truly horrible times are behind her. But even if she may know it, she just can't feel it. She forgets to think about them, because she still doesn't feel like they're thinking about her, and that's not fair. She still can't shrug off the years of bitterness and hurt, because those old days never feel over.

She wants to feel it. And maybe that's why, for once, the ginzuishou's light accepts her and she accepts it. The sigil of Mercury blazes blue on her forehead as her clothes are replaced by an elegant gown. She steps towards the unconscious Usagi as if she knows what she'll do once she reaches there.

When she does, she says only two words at first: "Wake up." Somehow it seems important.

He opens his eyes, tilting his head slightly. There is a slight smile from him, almost sad. "I am. You were right, Mercury." He blinks a little. "I am the Prince."

It'd be too much to call her expression a smile in return, but it's vaguely amused, sly and secretive as always but without that typical bite to it.

"Did you doubt my information?" There's the slightest, almost playful, emphasis on 'my', a flash of deserved pride as the soldier of Knowledge.

"More like myself." He chuckles. "Even now, with memories I can't fully recall, I don't think I should be a prince."

Prince Endymion, rather than Serenity, squints against the light and the thoughts that flood him along with it, memories of a sweet and bright and loving girl, always happy and full of life and dreams, not like the brooding and dark Ber--

The disloyal thought startles him out of itself. How can he think such things about her? This light must be...!

"What are you trying to do?!"

What's a Bunny to do?

"Masako...?" Serenity blinks the gives a slow shake of his head. "No...Prince Endymion..."

Tears well up a moment before the boy hides his face. "Zoisite, she hurt Masako-chan. I was healing her, but Beryl, Beryl took her."

Alright, that takes a moment to process. And why does it feel like this is something wrong, something he should be doing something about? Only the fact Usagi called him 'Masako' first even gives Prince Endymion a clue as to who Masako must be.

He frowns, though, at that final accusation and that nagging feeling. "Beryl is the soul of virtue," he says firmly (only, why doesn't it sound as firm as it should, to his own ears?). "She would do nothing to harm someone wantonly."

"I don't think...I don't know...but it is the truth. He took her right from my arms after Zoisite hurt her." His voice is ragged as he tries to hold back the emotion. His body uncurls and he tries to stand, but his legs give out.

This Masako hadn't been in the nexus in forever, having dealt with her own problems back in her world. So many things were happening.

But she remembered this. Usagi had told her about this. Making her way past the healing waves and into the golden light, Masako knelt down next to the younger version of her boyfriend, her hand going to his shoulder. "Usagi..."

He opens his eyes and uncurls. One look at Masako's face and his crumples in pain. "Oh Masako-chan, I'm sorry."

Usagi embraces her, holding her tight.

I missed you too. Never leave me, bb.

Masako's arms immediately go around him, holding him gently. "Don't." She starts, then realizes that she has to go through this again. She's all ready dealt with her Usagi apologizing after this, when it should be her that apologizes.

"Don't apologize... this isn't your fault, Usagi."

"You were there, I had been paying more attention..."

Still, he relaxes against her, nuzzling his tear stained face against her neck. "He took her from my arms."
