Keeping Her Waiting

Another day alone in Nemesis. Well, she couldn't say that; the occasional servant was out and about, though they still regarded Usagi wearily. She supposed that wouldn't change, as she was an outsider who first found her way here by sheer accident. Her shoe-clad feet made eerily hollow noises in the empty hallway as she made her way to the throne

For a moment, it's enough to completely confuse him. Demando finds himself in the midst of his own throne-room, but with Usagi before him, and with no idea how he's gotten there.

The nexus? Or is he ill somehow?

He doesn't have time to dwell on the question before he's running towards her and kneeling at her side.

"Princess!" No matter what he's sworn he'll do to have her, he doesn't want her harmed.

Her eye opened, and she managed a small smile. Her pain addled brain couldn't register the difference between her Demand and this one. "Welcome back," she said between coughs, "You won... right?"

Won? What is she talking about?

Who cares? That can come later.

"Who has done this?!" If any, any member of the Black Moon clan has gone against his orders (that Esmeraude...) he will have their head immediately! Assuming the blood is from some injury, Demando reaches to take Usagi in his arms, to move her to a more comfortable position with her head supported.

"Nobody," came the reply, the coughing slowly easing as she was shifted, "I was just... looking at the flowers..." Usagi wiped the blood from her mouth with the back of her hand, which seemed to have stopped, now.

Fortunately for any Demando lurking about, this is not the Kunzite who's sworn to kill them. It is, however, a Kunzite who looks rather amused at the sight of the princess, Sailormoon, collapsed on the ground.

"Your voice has improved!" he remarks casually, either meaning that horrible cough itself or her weak cry to Demando.

Usagi's heard that voice, once before. She looks up to him, unable to reply verbally, though she gives him a glare so venomous that not Sailormoon nor the Princess could have ever possibly mustered it.

Kunzite laughs outright, "Such a face. Will you attack me, Princess?"

He then diverts his attention to calmly examining a few pale flowers he happens to be holding. "These are pleasing, do you not think so?"

Why yes, he can feel what's around them. After his years in the Dark Kingdom, his body is more or less acclimated to it.

Slowly, Usagi pulled herself up, ignoring the protesting pain in her chest, fighting back coughs. "What do you want?" she asks firmly, pleased her voice stays steady, not easing up her glare.

Even though the pain and coughing, Usagi smiled. Smiled for him. "Welcome... back," she managed, trying to keep looking at him, to reassure herself he was really there.

"I... don't know." The honest reply came between coughs, which gradually started to decrease in severity. "I was just looking at the flowers... And started coughing..." Usagi covered her mouth as she coughed again, afraid more blood would come, but thankfully, none seemed to.

"You...!"

She doesn't realize that she's in another world. She doesn't know this is an Usagi. All that she knows is that this person is hurt from the energy that was coming from the planet.

"Hang on!" She runs to this girl's side. "I'll help you!"
