It's a quiet afternoon at Juuban Middle School, the only students left are the ones participating in club activities. In one deserted hallway there is a room with some people though. "Studying won't do you much good, Tsukino-san!" comes a slightly too-cheerful, overly bright voice. The look on the girl's face matches the tone perfectly, a smile that stretches too far to really be friendly and a strange light in her too-dark eyes.

A closer look would reveal the girl to be a double of Mizuno Ami, but this one has long brown hair (dyed from black), looks in her later teens, and has discovered fashion and makeup.

Usagi looks up from the table, expecting to see someone who would provide them with a new sort of mystery, but this was a different kind of mystery than she had expected. She blinks a few times as she stares at this familiar girl. She does look a lot like Ami, except for the hair. And the fact that she looks older. Ami's older sister? Does Ami even have an older sister? It had never occurred to Usagi to talk with Ami about her family, especially since Ami didn't talk much at all.

"Huh? Are you Ami-chan's older sister?" Usagi asks the girl, motioning to the silent girl near the windows, who still hasn't looked up from the book she's reading.

The question irritates her immediately. Ami tenses slightly, and fires back her retort in a sharp tone: "You're saying 'Ami-chan' and you don't even know that?"

Well, the attitude is very different from the Ami she is used to. Maybe she's just very different from her sister?

Usagi shrugs as she hears that question. "Well, if Ami-chan doesn't talk about it, then I can't know, right?" It's completely solid logic to her.

Aino Minako, perfect double of the one Usagi's complaining about but with dark hair and in her early twenties, steps into the classroom. Well, this was unexpected. It shouldn't be, considering the nexus. She takes note of the peaceful school scene, Usagi and Ami present, the mention of herself (oops), and concludes everything is alright here. She flashes Usagi a grin.

"Good afternoon, Usagi!"

THIS IS ALL A PLOT BY ALIENS, CLEARLY!

The moment Usagi hears that voice she jumps up from her chair and points at the person entering. "Minako-chan! Where have you been?! It has been-"

Usagi stops mid-sentence as she now actually takes a look at the girl. Sure, it seems Minako, but at the same time it doesn't seem like her. She tilts her head sideways in confusion. "Did you get a haircut, Minako-chan?" And did you age at least five years? "And where did you leave Mamoru?! Don't tell me he's slacking off again!"

ABSOLUTELY! Ami and Minako are aliens after all!

"No, nothing," Minako says, doing a good job of pretending to be completely nexus-ignorant for now. "Did you make a mistake?"

Ok, so it's a pretty flimsy cover because hello different hair color and length. But she ignores the rest, and says, "I just arrived late. I'm sorry. What were you doing just now?"

"But I just sent you out with Mamoru to investigate weird things around the city, right? And your hair was still blonde when you left! And-"

Minako seems to have the ability to always make Usagi stop halfway through her sentence. Usagi's eyes narrow. "What kind of suspicious thing is going on here?" Randomly changing hair colour didn't seem really normal.

"Memory~ wa biryuushi sa~ Deeply in my heart, tsu--eh?"

A young man in a boy's highschool uniform with brown hair and a long ponytail pauses by the door and pokes his head in. "Hey, Odango!" he calls before stepping in. He waves a bit to her.

Nexus, obviously. But this should be fun. He leans over her shoulder, glancing at the two walkie-talkies. "Whatcha doin'?" he asks, lips just by her ear. Let's hope she noticed him earlier.

The 'Odango' statement makes her think that it's Mamoru entering the room at first, and she's about to shout something along the lines of 'they are not odangos!' until she notices that this person doesn't quite look like Mamoru. (Maybe it's the hair.) He seems to be wearing a high school uniform; perhaps it's one of Mamoru's classmates?

"I'm on to a mystery, can't you see?" Usagi grins at him though as she now stops her very interesting activity. "Welcome to the SOS Brigade's base! So, can I help you?" She lets the odango remark slip for now.

He perches on the desk next to hers (he had half a mind just to sit on hers). "SOS Brigade?" he repeats, carelessly leaning back and looking at the blonde with head tilted. "What's that? Some little club you came up with?" there's a small, teasing smirk.

Usagi can't help but pout at that teasing smirk. "It's not just some little club! The SOS Brigade is the greatest and most interesting club in this whole school! The rest is just boring. I could know, I've tried all those other clubs!"

Here, Usagi, have a dark haired version of yourself in a Mugen Gakuen uniform. Having thinking about her old school, 17 year old, maid!Usagi decided to take a visit, unwitting though it may have been. She blinks, calmly looking around. "This room..."

Usagi looks up to find a person who for some reason reminds her a lot of herself. She blinks a few times as she looks at the girl, trying to shrug off that feeling. The only thing Usagi really can do in response is look at the other girl. "You are..?" An evil doppelganger? An alien taking on that form? Well, this certainly was a mystery worth studying.

... Or perhaps it was just a girl that happened to look a lot like her. But Usagi wasn't going to accept such a boring explanation!

Usagi blinks, turning towards the blond girl and smiling. "My apologies," she says, bowing a bit, "My name is Tsukino Usagi. This place, Juuban Middle School... I used to go here." How's that for interesting?

That's definitely interesting. Usagi's mouth almost drops to the floor at that response. "But I'm Tsukino Usagi!" She was fairly sure of that fact too. "How great.. This is a mystery, isn't it? A very big mystery!" She can't help but grin at the very thought of it.
