About once a year, I think about giving HP another go. My head generally screams things like stereotypes! and Harry/Ginny, dear God, and continues on about Snape and Dumbledore, so much of how the Marauders & betrayals were written, not to mention but do you really think you can read OotP again without burning it?, and all, but. I really like the ( Read more... )

fic: if you call, writing, i take fiction way too seriously, harry potter

Aww, they're so cute. Seriously, the Marauders' fates depress me more than any other part or character death in the HP series. Some people were just supposed to be friends and live forever.

I'm editing it right now; I'm about...half-way through? So it should be up very soon. Really. Promise :p

Jon here, Erin.

To be honest, by the end... I wanted to punch Dumbledore SO hard it's not even funny.

Yeah, I have *massive* issues with Dumbledore, and that's just on the whole Harry-with-the-Dursleys point. I employed much headdesking during OotP :\

(You may have already come across it, but I'll mention it just in case.) If you like the marauders and a friendship that never should have ended you may want to check out Promises Unbroken by Robin4, you can find it at ff.net. It's completely AU, for obvious reasons.

And by way of introduction: I'm one of those people guilty of reading, enjoying and then not reviewing, hopefully that'll change someday. But since I've delurked, I love your fic, well the only one I've read so far. FAIC = awesome, It reminded my that Jaina/Zekk = OTP and makes me want to start reading SW books again.

And I totally agree. HP went south after book 4. I still haven't read book seven yet. But I hear it's somewhat redeeming, excepting the epilogue.

Sorry about taking so long to post--I'm terribly prone to procrastination, even when I glee over a new reader. It's an awful habit *blush*

Re: Rec: Thanks! I'll definitely check it out :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed FaIC--it's sort of my J/Z manifesto, so the reminding-OTP is just bonus *g*

Book 5 was what made me swear the books off, but it does sound as if books 6&7 (excepting the epilogues, definitely :P) are better. Alas, I have *issues* with the series now, so we'll see if I ever get around to finishing it :p
