I had to go back and re-read chapter 3 to make sure that both Mick's and Coraline's sources insisted Ginger was dead (not just paralyzed by a silver stake and somehow saved in the nick of time to wreak bloody vengeance on her husband's killers/executioners so many years later), but since she is reported to have died in 1968, I can't wait to find out who the mystery woman is (presumably someone Mick doesn't know, or he might've remembered her scent) and whether she's the one knocking off the surviving Soldiers of Night, or is merely an interested third party!

So glad you are intrigued with my story enough to try to figure out the mystery. I will tell you, Ginger is "most sincerely dead" lol. Good guesses about the mystery woman, but I'm not giving away anything yet!

Thanks for the review! Ch. 5 will be up as soon as I transport what I planned in my brain to the computer screen--not always as easy as you think, lol.

This is *such* an interesting story! I can see where Mick could have possibly been drawn to a group like the Soldiers of the Night. I can't wait to see who the dark female figure is and who's been going after the Soldiers of the Night. Wonder if they're going to be coming after Mick?

Hmmm...well that mystery woman is the key to this story, but that's all I'm saying, lol. And Mick should always be on his guard. It does my heart good to read that people are trying to solve my little mystery. I will tell you that I can't wait to write that final chapter. I wish I could skip ahead and just tell you what I have planned, but that wouldn't be any fun, would it?

I thought the mystery woman was a Cleaner. Or is she posing as one. Although, the other vamp would penetrate the deception so maybe she's doing was for the benefit of humans. Or maybe all that is utter BOLLOCKS!!!!!
I'll keep guessing. Btw, LOVE the Josef snark totally better than the show.
