I just got a virus last week that sounds very similar. No idea how. The printer thing is still going on. It was seems to be a number of different things involving Yoog, Zedo, and maybe Vundo. If you have a google toolbar, is your default browser now set to Yoog?
What JD and I did to get rid of MOST of the problems is to run both "SpyBot Search & Destroy" and Ad-aware (both are free). Numerous times. He also had to delete and unistall my firefox.
Do scans like the above suggestions. I've found that there are many malicious adware/spyware/browser hijack programs that will not trigger anti-virus software.
You should also do these scans in safe mode if possible. When you reboot the computer, press F8 before you see the Windows screen and you should be able to select "Safe Mode" (not the one w/ networking). Then try running AVG, SpyBot and AdAware.
Also as suggested, go ahead and back up anything important to you. Sometimes computers can get so infected that it's easier to just rebuild rather than trying to remove everything. I'm not saying that it's your case, but it's always good to have recent backups regardless. HTH.
Just to follow-up, when did you get this notice from Cox? If they're being notified then it could probably be a worm, which basically would turn your computer into an email spammer, or a trojan, which could possibly allow anyone remote access to your computer. If your computer is generating spam then anyone who complains about the spam would notify Cox.
I'd worry about your Office, printer and double-clicking issues after you resolve the other problems.

Try this: http://www.pchell.com/support/poweredbyzedo.shtml
Also, do a search for removing Yoog and you'll get a few things.
This a major pain, and even my computer engineering partner had a LOT of trouble with it--so don't feel bad.
