computer uh-oh
Help?
I'm sure these are probably easy fixes, but I am computer ignorant.
I have 5 things going on I need help with:
1) I keep getting a *&%$!!# pop-up that wants me to go to some website that will help something with my computer. It pops up, not exaggerating... about every 60 seconds. It really pisses me off.
2) My computer is saying my Windows did not pass the "test" and is not genuine.
3) Somehow, someway I don't have Microsoft Office anymore. It just disappeared. This means I can't even open a word file, let alone create one. BAD for finals week.
4) My printer won't print. The computer says I don't have any printers added, but then it won't let me add it.
5) I can't double-click on anything, anymore. I have to right-click and then select "open". I can't double click on ANYTHING. Why?????
Ugh. I'm frustrated.
Oh... I also have another computer, the one that didn't have any of the above problems and has about a million and one pictures and writings saved on it. Well, one day Cox turned off my cable internet connection because it said I had a virus on the computer. I run AVG, but I was told if I tried to connect this computer to Cox internet again and the virus was detected they would PERMANENTLY discontinue my services and I would never, ever be allowed to have internet through them again.
sigh. Help?
