Chapter Four
After being separated from his family, Ianto ran for the woods at the other side of the field, hoping to lose the Time Agents amongst the trees.
Weaving in and out of glassy-eyed concertgoers, he leapt over a fallen log and crouched down beside it, scanning the crowd to see if they had followed him.
But just as he thought they would pass him by, they turned back toward him and a warm hand snuck up from behind him to clamp over his mouth.
“Stay still,” a male voice whispered. “I’m going to try and distract them,” he added as he released him and stood up.
Ianto turned his head and watched as the man stepped back over the log and headed toward the Time Agents, making sure to keep himself directly in front of where Ianto lie hidden.
As he listened, the man conversed with the two agents in Galactic Standard, exchanging ranks and serial numbers until he put the other two agents at ease. It seemed that they had been sent by the Time Agency on a paid recovery mission for a Nixian Warlord who had heard tales that fluctuations in space time such as the one surrounding Woodstock heralded the arrival of Time Lord Offspring, and the Time Agency had assigned them to investigate and retrieve said child on his behalf.
Ianto paled as he realized that they must be talking about River. He had felt another mind, small and unformed reach out to him as he ran, and since he knew he had been born onboard the TARDIS herself, it must have been his sibling crying out for help. Tuning out everything around him, he closed his eyes and reached out across the green, skittering over the jumble of minds until he found the familiarity of his mother, and a soft wave of comfort engulfed him. She couldn’t communicate with words like father, but her emotions always came through loud and clear. A sense of panic bled through the connection as the tiny mind of the frightened child nestled within her womb cried out for help. Caressing the fragile mind he reassured his brother that even though a lot would change when he came out into the light, all would be well.
Sensing that the child had calmed, he gave his mother a mental hug before slipping back to the present.
“You back with me?” his rescuer asked as Ianto opened his eyes to the worried expression on a much younger version of a very familiar face.
“Jack?” he asked in disbelief.
“It’s Jax actually,” he replied with a grin. “She warned me that you might know me in the future, and to not ask you about it,” he added as he helped Ianto to his feet.
“She?” he asked dumbly as they made their way back out of the wood.
“The woman who sent me to keep you safe,” he answered with a shrug.
As they reached a cluster of tents at the edge of the trees, Jax held up his wrist strap to scan the area.
“They’re searching the other side of the green,” he said, turning back to where the man he was to protect stared at him with wide green eyes. “You got a name gorgeous?”
“Ian-“ Ianto started, before he realized that he couldn’t use that name since Jack didn’t know him yet. “Storm,” he finally said. “You can call me Storm.”
“Alright Storm,” Jax replied with a grin. “Let’s find somewhere to hide out until they get bored and leave. I told them that I was here with my boyfriend, so if we run into them again, make it look good.”
Ianto licked his lips. “I think I can manage that,” he answered, as the familiar scent of Jack’s pheromones filled the air.
“Want to practice just in case?” he asked bringing them to a stop alongside a rather tattered tent bolstered against a blue shed.
“Practice?” Ianto whispered, suddenly realizing just how long it had been since he had been with Jack and felt the bliss of drowning in his kiss.
“Practice,” Jack answered, placing his hands on Ianto’s hips and gently urging him back until he felt the warmth of the shed against his shoulders. “Do you think we should?” he asked leaning forward until their lips were almost touching.
“Might be best,” Ianto replied, bringing his hand up to rest at the back of Jack’s neck. “But are you sure you can handle it?” he asked with a sly grin. “I might be a bit much for a Time Agent to handle.”
“I’ll take my chances,” Jack whispered leaning forward. “Try and keep up.”
With that he leaned forward and captured Ianto’s lips in a searing kiss.
A stab of need burned through Ianto, and after being without him for so long, all he could think about was how much he wanted and needed Jack, and even if he wasn’t exactly his Jack, he was close enough that it didn’t matter.
As the kiss deepened, all thoughts of evading capture disappeared as the need to touch, taste, and feel took over. Soon shirts were off and buckles were coming undone as the two men struggled to remove their clothing and place skin against skin.
Panting and nearly out of breath, Jack stepped back and reached down to the pile of clothing at his feet to retrieve a small vial of slick before turning back to Ianto with a grin.
Ianto had slipped off his jeans and was leaning against the shed about to take off his boots, when Jack placed his hand on his arm to stop him.
“Leave them on,” he growled and Ianto nodded, his green eyes shining like emeralds in the dark as he pushed off the shed to pull a now naked Jack towards him. Lips and hips collided with practiced ease, and Jack reached around his waist and coated his fingers with the slick as he slipped them down the curve of his pert ass to find his entrance.
Ianto threw his head back, breaking the kiss as he moaned in ecstasy at the intrusion. This new body seemed even more sensitive than his last, and each thrust of Jack’s fingers sent small shocks of pleasure up his spine until he feared he wouldn’t last.
“Ja…ah….I’m gonna,” he panted as Jack increased the pace and pushed him closer to the edge.
Sensing that he was ready, Jack hoisted Ianto up and wrapped his still boot-clad feet around his waist as he moved forward to brace him against the shed.
Ianto whimpered, wanting nothing more than to feel his lover inside him once more after being alone for so very long.
As Jack lined himself up and thrust up into him, the world seemed to stand still, and blue met green as the two men stared at each other in wonder. Ianto blinked and time resumed as the two of them clung to each other in a dance as old as time.
