Dinner and a movie at Ben's

OMG, check out this LOST parody. It's the most hilarious thing I've seen in ages; I laughed till I cried (literally--I had to keep rewinding because I couldn't see through the tears):

Still ROTFLMAO ... ('Course it helps to have some familiarity with the show. If you don't, I'm curious if it's still funny. It's not really a spoiler since the " ( Read more... )

I never seriously thought that they would on the show, but it would make an interesting fanfic pairing! One of the few people on the island I wouldn't mind seeing Ben with. Still it's hard to see her forgiving him for what he did. If they had a relationship, I'd think it'd have to be a pretty kinky one! ;)

It's very funny at the start. The Brady Bunch stuff sort of went over my head. I really don't think that Ben would be so obsessed with the Brady Bunch...I guess that's why they used it It's good, but it would be even better if they'd tried to actually get spoken dialogue to make a video, But, admittedly, that is an awful lot of work. I actually thought this would be a Ben/Locke thing. Would've been funnier, although I guess it's already been done.

I guess I should clarify for non-LOSTies ... what makes it so funny is that Ben would totally NOT be obsessed with the Brady Bunch (however, Michael Emerson did play a character in the X-Files who lives in the Brady Bunch house, so I suspect it was a subtle reference to that). I liked it because it was so bizarrely out-of-character (you'd never catch most of those characters saying those things) ... yet strangely in character at the same time (e.g., Sawyer's nicknames for everyone--I could just "hear" their voices). I thought the captions fit the pictures better than the real dialog would have. I guess it just hit me the right way at the right moment. It's just plain silly in a Mad magazine kind of way. Rather like this sidesplitting spoof of this season's Episode 9, "The Shape of Things to Come." (Warning: TONS of screencaps. But I found it worth the wait, even on dial-up.)
