Interesting to note...

On my friends list, I have liberals, some of them radical; I have conservatives, as well, though the most conservative voice is actually a community.

I have been listening to the reactions of various people today.

The overwhelming majority of those that didn't care for Obama seem to be pessimists.

Not with those that say we're not one nation. They've chosen to remove themselves from our collective society and are going to self-segregate and self-marginalize and then die off.

Give people a little time, and some of the rhetoric will die down.

On the other hand, I felt that way about W the entire time he was in office, so there will likely be vocal opposition the entire time. Such is the nature of the political system!

Sadly? Probably not. We've become too divided, and there are still way too many people who apparently have no wish at all to try and come to a middle ground to work for a common good, only their own.

Right now, I'm hoping to outlive them, and see if the next batch of humans can stop be so jackassed.

I'm reminded of all the people who said they were done and they were physically leaving the country after the two prior elections. I never actually heard of anyone leaving, and I expect that the current round of doomsayers will calm down eventually, too.

Sorry if I sounded grumpy last night... I had been jarred awake by the klaxon sound of my phone when your message came in...
