Lady Sally's Place: River's apartment [Wednesday night, NWS]

River stopped outside a partially obscured door on the side of Sally's Place. Extracting herself from Jayne's arms long enough to punch in a code, she unlocked the door, letting the couple into the building. She pulled him in through the door, making sure it clicked behind them. "Elevator," she murmured, tugging him down the hall.
As she punched in the code, Jayne wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, hands roving along her body. She made a happy sound low in her throat, the contact further fueling the electricity shooting through her body. "Jayne..." she moaned, leaning into his comforting bulk.
She felt his growl vibrate through her body as the elevator doors opened. River stumbled into the enclosed space, her legs unsteady from the contact. Jayne caught her and spun her around, pulling her close to him. He leaned down, his breath making her quiver. "You sure about this, River-girl? I'm not going to ask again."
The blue lightning flashed through her again, rendering her speechless. She knew she had to respond; he was still afraid she was going to change her mind. River raised her hand to his face, tracing his lips with her fingers as she nodded a silent assent.
