Names

I have this weird reaction to people called Sydney. My head kicks into "Hey, that's near where I live!" phase before I realise we're talking about a different kind of noun.
I hate the name anyway. Thanks to Alias, it seems to be indescribably hip and 'contemporary' (despite being an awkward, clumsy sort of word). It's rather ike "Madison", in that ( Read more... )

i love my name. & it's boring as hell. well, i actually like to think of it as...normal, but not a name you really hear that much. at least not anymore, it used to be way more common, & more in the mexican community since it's a word in spanish.

i used to want to give my children boring names (like matt, michael) as well. & now i don't necessarily want to do that. i find it annoying that we have 2 matts at my work & 3 michaels. they just hired a girl whose name is lynda, but goes by lyndi, yet ppl still call me when her food comes up in the window.

also, i HATE the name madison. i just think of...wisconsin? but then again, i do love dallas as a name, so i guess i can't talk, hehe.
