i'm off of Riverside Drive (off 285, just slightly OTP)...
are you over close to perimeter mall, off ashford-dunwoody, or somewhere else?
depending on exactly where you are, we can figure out where would be the most convenient place to meet.

...i'm still learning all the directions and names of places around here.
aaaand my sense of direction wasn't fantastic to begin with.

You updated!!

Glad to see that you're doing well Dianne :) I'm sorry that Barry's having a difficult time finding an aerospace job in Atlanta. There are always plenty of engineering jobs in Huntsville! But unfortunately I don't think that there are too many design firms :( Don't worry though, you will find a place in due time that caters to both of y'all's professions :)

i know!! crazy, huh?

and thanx! i hear you are doing well too! congrats on the engagement! how exciting! i need to call miss missy sometime soon and tell her the same, and exchange ideas and such. i like hearing about how other people's planning is going...

barry and i are hoping for a place that will allow both of us to do what we want to do... there may be some design firms in huntsville, but i didn't expect there to be too much there for me. who knows where we'll end up? he's just applying EVERYWHERE, and we'll see what happens...

for now, i suppose this serves the purpose. means to an end, and all that. plus, i like atlanta just fine.
:)

::sidenote:: fun new icon!

Sorry I haven't responded 'til now Dianne. It's been a busy week :)

Yes, Missy and I are doing well :) We haven't managed to kill each other yet, so the whole living together thing is actually working out really well.

Oh, and the icon is from VG Cats strip from a month or two back. Adam made the icon for me :)

Well, call or email me and/or Missy sometime and we can let you know how the wedding stuff's going. It's funny... but when you think you've got a lot taken care of (wedding wise), you realize that a lot of little things keep popping up... like flowers/candles/candelabras at the ceremony, linens for the reception tables, etc. It's a bit overwhelming at times, but hey, it's something you should only have to do once, right?

Glad to hear you are well! We will let you know the next time we visit 'lanta to see if we can get together. Good luck to Barry. I know of electrical and mechanical jobs in Decatur...no aerospace, though.

definitely! i like being in atlanta because so many people pass through on their way elsewhere, or to shop, or whatever, so i get to visit with a fair amount of people i haven't seen in a while!

and thanks for the luck... it's looking like luck may be the only way!

He should try Houston!

houston, huh?

i think he's applied for jobs in that area... he's applied for jobs EVERYWHERE.
is there a specific company there you're referencing, or just a general suggestion?

Houston, we have a jobsearch. nightplayer July 26 2005, 21:03:07 UTC
Like, you know, NASA has the Johnson Space Center is there, so I figured there'd be lots of businesses in the area and vendors and whatnot that might pertain.

I attempted to apply at Lockheed myself and was in the same boat... four months later I got one of those nice "We've gotten your resume and will never contact you again" letters in the mail. I didn't have the right words either. :) Glad to see (though) that it wasn't just me and two years later they're still living by the same mantra!
