The bushfire season has started early up here in the mountains. We haven't seen blue sky for days now; everything is hazy and the air smells heavily of smoke. Today I went to see The Prestige! I loved it. It's the sort of film I would enjoy anyway, and having the Bow added in was just a bonus. I so wish his role had been expanded a bit, after all he played the real magician of the film. Aussies will know Belinda Emmett, actress, singer and wife of Rove McManus. She passed away this morning after fighting breast cancer for several years. Blessed be. -

I have just uploaded the final chapter of The Ice Storm! It's been a long journey of writing, starting back in 2004 with "Once Bitten" and finishing today. Working Out
I've joined a gym this week. It's a new one just opened up in town and just about everyone from work has signed up. Seriously, there are 12 'stations' (which each have various machines) and today 9 of them were taken up by the Katoomba Hospital mob, lol. I just love the Travel Agents. Besides it being naturally full of happy people, mine has this huge map of the world plastered across one of the walls. It's worth going in just to look at it. Weekend Road Trip
I've just got back from my weekend in Canberra. I always drive the back way, down little country roads full of gravel and dust rather than the freeway. There were so many baby lambs and calves in the fields! Cockies were ploughing in the new crops, folks were waving by the roadside.
