I love "Feather Top". I bought an omnibus of almost all of Hawthorne's stuff on the strength of it after I found it in a general fantasy collection. Sadly it's miles above the bulk of his work although you can see the painterly style that he uses there throughout his output.

One tier down are his tales "The Ambitious Guest" and "Rappaccini's Daughter".

I'm not that into "Young Goodman Brown," but I like Kate Beaton's version.
