A very good look but for Harley I think the Devil-May-Care attitude of the taxi cab driver in the same movie makes her a better fit.

Looking good. To get the half-peplum to jut out, would inserting some kind of stiffener do the trick?

Cute! Would making the peplum a bit fuller help? Or adding some firm interfacing.

The pattern calls for interfacing, but I skipped it. I think I might add a half-circular peplum to that side when I make the skirt, and see if it can act like a mini half-petticoat under the jacket.
