What is a thing that you see as a fundamental character trait of yours that you wouldn't ever want to be without?

For me, I think it's a sense of play. No matter how much craziness there is in the world, I basically always have time for a little ridiculousness.

My sense of humour/the ability to laugh.

Also curiosity, my ability to feel intense love for friends, and my love of cats.

I suppose I could put all of this under the header appreciation of the universe. But they are specific parts of appreciation. Humour, curiosity, love, and, er, cats.

It's interesting almost everyone here is answering some variant of silliness/play/humour or else compassion/kindness. Characteristics moominmolly likes in friends? With variants of intellectual curiosity coming in third.

I am having the hardest time with this question. 1, I am having a really hard time thinking of discrete traits. 2, there are times when I would have really liked to be without all of me. Man, I need more sleep.
