What is a thing that you see as a fundamental character trait of yours that you wouldn't ever want to be without?

For me, I think it's a sense of play. No matter how much craziness there is in the world, I basically always have time for a little ridiculousness.

What's yours?

I think it is my deep sense of love/compassion. But my silliness is a strong second here too.

My tenacity (stick-to-it-iveness, if you will). It's allowed me to succeed at so many things that I would have missed by just a bit if I'd thrown in the towel earlier. It also makes me a good friend and a valuable co-worker.

Compassion. I think of it as utterly foundational to who I am that I try to (and am often able to succeed) see things from other points of view, even when in a direct conflict. And compassion is also an area I'm always learning more in and growing in and expanding how and what it touches, which is super satisfying and rewarding.

There are others also, but if I had to pick just one, I think it's that.

Another good intellectual trait. Cool.

Either the capacity to nurture or the capacity for compassion. (I see them as deeply related in me though, in that the compassion sort of enables the nurturing, even though they are actually quite different things in other ways.) I guess the nurturing is the key trait though if I had to pick one.
