041 - Rinoa - Action near Burmecia, open to Galbadia Garden people

[As promised to Rydia, Rinoa has piloted the Garden over to Burmecia. They've been picking up refugees along the way - mostly rats, those who fled the city in time, all of them now tragically homeless. It's one of the saddest things she's ever seen

[There's something on the horizon, out at sea. After a few moments, it becomes apparent that there's a great sea serpent out there. Someone with sharp vision or binoculars can also spot a green figure astride the beast. The Lord of All Waters is heading straight for the shore, Rydia clinging to him all the way. She hears the ringing of the phone and fumbles with it, careful not to let it drop into the water.]

I'm coming!

[It looks like Leviathan. Rinoa should be expecting this, but even so it's an awesome sight. She forgets the phone at her ear and just stares.]

...Wow.

[Rydia tucks the phone away, then holds on as Leviathan brings her to shore. She slides off his back, wobbling a bit, then throws her arms around the sea serpent.]

Thank you.

[Leviathan nuzzles her, then retreats to the water. Turning, Rydia waves as she strides over.]

Rinoa! Hello!

[Quistis approaches the gate shortly after Rinoa, prepared to help dispose of any stray monsters that might push their way onboard while they retrieve Rydia. She smiles as she spots their newest passenger and offers a reserved wave.]

[Squall's mostly come to make sure that no monsters try to get into the Garden while they're stopped. It's bad enough that they couldn't stop things in time. He doesn't want to have to add the potential endangerment of the Garden to that.]

So Rydia's gonna be greeted by the great leader himself, huh?

[Rinoa grins, teasing him.]

Such a privilege, Squall.

[He'll admit to being the de facto leader, sure. But 'great leader' sounds way too pretentious.]
