[Lingering behind the scenes for far too long, the King of Damcyan decides to speak finally regarding this latest panic about the I'Cie. Edward wasn't very thrilled in how the public received this message or pleased with how some members of the council seemed to cling to the Lt. Commander's words. Therefore, in an attempt to stir up discussion ( Read more... )

I am glad to hear it, Sabin. How does Figaro fare during such troubled times? I trust that it hasn't fallen.

If Figaro can survive the world being torn asunder than it can survive anything, Edward.

I can't say the same for the food in the kitchens, however.

Still gobbling up everything you lay your eyes on? Sabin, you are going to gain a boulder of a stomach at this rate!

You were not alone in hearing her words, Edward. Nor in trusting them.

I am glad, Lady Nabradia. I had feared I was the only one questioning against what Lt. Commander Nabaat has claimed.

Those people have made no allusions to hostility. Should the day come when they prove themselves violent, then will I believe the Commander's accusation. For now, I see no reason to stand against them, to consider them an enemy.

Let us hope that the L'Cie shan't cause us to heed the Commander's accusations. That girl, the one who calls herself 'Serah' seems so young...

It would trouble me greatly if the counsel must turn their blades against young women as old as her.

Lord Solidor, with all due respect Lady Jihl's warning is no more than a mere farce caused by someone eager to shed blood. With any proof, she's managed to provoke fear within the masses with giving very little information or any information at all as to why she suspects the l'Cie to be troublesome here.

From what I last remembered, this not Cocoon.

I, too, was discouraged by the fact that the Lady Serah Farron appears so young. And yet is hunted for something she had no control over. I have heard that there is also one younger than she, a boy.

Cecil, we cannot allow for these people to be persecuted...

It reminds me too much of what happened before.

No, you're right. We cannot.

Something shall be done, fear not, Edward.

I am certain you have and others of our council have, Lord Nabradia. We cannot simply charge these people with crimes that haven't been done.

I have yet to see any crime caused by the hands of one of the l'Cie, but as for Garland...
