By the time Mary stopped by Stan's house, the party preparations were in full swing. She had sent over some of her staff from the hotel to spruce the place up since Stan kept making jokes about bachelor decor. Now, all that was left for her to do was finish putting tablecloths on the picnic table on the back porch as well as the extra folding tables that were brought over from the hotel. Gunther had seen to it that the grill was ready to go, the chili was cooking in the kitchen, and the ribs were ready to be cooked. She was also pleased to see that there was a tire swing and a bonfire pit for making s'mores.
Now came the hard part. Mary quietly took Gunther aside before the guests started arriving. "If you and Stan get into any arguments over who gets to use the grill, I'm sending you home. Consider this your last warning," she said in a no-nonsense tone of voice. Once that business was settled, the party could really start.
