What's funny is Rolf was conceived before his voice got so hard-edged from the whiskey and chain-smoking. Its kinda like he inspired Rolf, but then evolved into Rolf's vocal range himself.

Man...he is a riot in "Fishing With John", an existential celebrity fishing movie. Seeing him catch a fish and put it down his pants for safekeeping is a real image, especially given the conviction he affords it.

Yes! I'm excited to see that "Loads of Dames" is still on the front burner. Watching "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" last night in the woods only increased my enthusiasm for a 1920s themed movie. (Hey 1919 = close enough!)
