Haha that was a long pee! It was a really interesting take on gadgets, not in the technology way that a lot of people took. And it was sooo relatable; who didn't have awkward childhood moments? Well, apparently all the jerk kids in class who made fun of other kids, but still. It was such an easy and pleasant read, not to mention very well-written; it was just really enjoyable! It made me feel good by the end!
On a sidenote, could I add you? I always really like reading your stuff
I think a gap in a smile is pretty cute :) You could always go in for the "Invisaline" braces if you really wanted a change.
My glasses were crazy big - and I think I picked them myself, so I just didn't know what I was doing! Luckily, my mom had a heart. I wore glasses from 8 to 13, and for my 13th borthday she took me to Riches where I got a Clinique makeover to learn to apply makeup, and I was fitted for my first pair of contact lenses.
Today, the most makeup I ever wear is some lipstick and the occassional mascara for a night out, but my contact lenses...I hate to take them out EVER!
Have you ever considered laser eye surgery? Would that even help us?
Gah! I have had a few of those moments - it's so bad that you can't hardly pick your head up because your whole eye feels like it's being slashed open

Wow. Talk about a strange form or torture all in the name of beauty well really in this case I bet that your ability to bite would have been hampered if they hadn't done it.
I love your description of the destruction of that hated device.
I imagine I did need some kind of orthodontic help...I'd love to know exactly what would have happened had we waited, or just not done it at all though!
