Yesterday morning I was in the office (it's a separate building) counting money and getting the cashier's drawers ready for the day when I heard a knock on the door. I figured it was one of the kids saying I had a phone call (usually a telemarketer or some crap). When I opened the door I saw Rob (our head cook whose last day is Saturday). it would be sad no matter how old she was, but 20 makes it even worse. And twins are so close usually.

That is horrible. People shouldn't die until they are at least 95.

It's good that he told you first. You are good at handling these things. I bet having someone to hold him for a minute is exactly what he needed.

Poor guy. I still remember way too well when my best friends younger sister died in a car accident. I heard it from a friend (who went to the same school) first and didn't knew what to do or to say, until she called me and asked me to meet her. We had a walk and she told me about everything.

It's been 11yrs in april and whenever we are at her parents place, I still expect Maren to come into the kitchen. I can't even imagine how it must be for her and her family.
