This is one of those bizarre fic ideas that I sometimes get. You know...the kind that spawn 21JS/VM crossovers and whatnot. At any rate, it's out of ye olde noggin now, so I can move on to the NEXT crazy project (probably a 21JS/VM crossover! LOL ( Read more... )

As someone who watched Carnivale and Heroes both - this is an awesome idea, awesomely executed. Mr. Linderman's Magical, Wonderful Traveling Show indeed. Wow!

Thank you! Since I *just* got into Carnivale, that's wonderful to hear. I was a little worried that this would fall flat and it would only "work" in that nutty place in my head. Yay!

Love the atmosphere in this! I've never seen carnivale, but you bring the whole travelling show to life brilliantly!

Thanks! I'm glad the atmosphere felt authentic! That's what I was going for.

Wonderful crossover. They all fit so well in the same setting Carnivale was set in. Loved the flying petrellis, the cooch girls and the haitian with his toothless lion.

Thank you. I'm glad it meshed well with that 1930s era of Carnivale's.

Oh, this is brilliant and, well, honestly, this was something I wanted to do way back when I first started writing Heroes fic...except I never knew where to go with it. Glad to see someone else did! :D *mems this liek woah*

Oh, thank you! It was fun to 'go there' and try to mesh the universes a little. I figure I could always revisit it, too, now that I've done the set-up.

You already know I love this, but it never hurts to say it again. I very much enjoyed all the different sections, and I loved that even in a different time and place, Mohinder is still feeling a bit like an outsider. The characterizations from the show worked very well within the alternate universe you created.

And, of course, everyone *is* a little bit in love with Claire Bear.

I miss Isaac SO MUCH.

Poor Mystery Sock! Left for dead on a floor! *sniffle*

Thanks, Gracie, for letting me inflict this on you AND then reading the whole thing. LOL. Both Mohinder and Bennet are integral parts of the show who don't have powers, and it was kind of odd yet fitting that I wrote them into a story comparing the heroes to carnival freaks. Couldn't help it. Just like people can't help being in love with Claire Bear...
