So Sam, does this mean that as Dean fell, he realized he could fly and opened himself to Michael's grace?

Sam's Answer:
Dean's still sleeping. I'll ask him when he wakes up.

(turning to the demons huddling against the far wall) If any of you wake him up, I'll use your entrails to make a hammock.

My Answer:
Dean fell. Heaven threw him down into the lake, and Castiel could not keep Dean from falling in time. The real question is : was the lake empty when Dean hit the ground?
