make no mistake: this entry is really all about which Adidas I buy

Friday I managed to make it to the gym. Wow. I need to never stop exercising. Do you know what I felt like 5 minutes into my hour-long run? I had to ask myself how long it'd really been since I'd been there last. I couldn't even do the whole thing! I "walked quickly" for like half of it! But I have to figure out 2 more days besides Friday for me to ( Read more... )

ok i was mostly feeling your rant. i always play devil's advocate so it's not like i'm tryna be picky, but i felt kinda awkward about the words you used to refer to hillary--awkward, not offended, because i don't care enough for emotion to surface. if you think she sucks she sucks, but by invoking insults that are primarily used to degrade women, i feel like you're implying that something in her femaleness is related to the things she's done to upset you or the reasons why you don't respect her.
it's like if some black person does something stupid and some white person is ranting about it, i might totally agree...and then they throw in the n-word and then i'm thinking you dumb racist fuck. but i know you, so i'm not thinking "you dumb sexist fuck", i'm just curious about your word choice ( ... )

Yeeeaaaahh, now see, I may need you to edit my future rants, 'cause I have to say I was obviously short-sighted and didn't see how using that terminology could be completely counterproductive. :( I won't be a punk and edit it though, lol. Let the cards fall where they may. Honestly at that point I'd been mulling over Tina Fey's lil' diatribe on SNL and how she not only seems to think supporting Hillary simply because she's a woman is a good idea, but she thought it a good idea to label her a bitch and then celebrate it. Like, really? That seems just as ignorant to me now as the whole "reclaiming nigger" business. These epithets used to disempower us, us being black or us being women or whatever, aren't ours to reclaim, they never were, and so it's never a good idea to run around acting like they are. I've been sayin' nigga since I was old enough to play outside by myself, so it's been kind of hard to remove completely from my vocab, lol; and sometimes, when I'm feelin' a bit perturbed (like at the end of Obama's "race speech") I feel ( ... )

the n-word.

as a child i had a distaste for it, for reasons i won't analyze in your comment box but mostly because i was in racially mixed environments alot, so that word was really dramatic. but then...around adolescence my environment because exclusively black and my distaste for it went away, and i started feeling more comfortable using it and i did. by 12th grade i thought it was dumb again. by college i was totally against it. then starting a few months ago i was like wait a fucking minute...

the reason i don't feel comfortable with this word...is because of white people. white people think that i need to have a stance on the n-word.
i know black people who are like fuck it, i'm a nigga, and you are too and fuck you if you got a problem with it. i know black people who are like black people can use it, but nobody else can, or only people i like can...i know black people who think it's ignorant and hate it.

but by and large...i think most black people don't really take offense to whatever opinion other black people ( ... )

They brought emotion to the surface for me. "Bitch" I can usually deal with, but the rest was over-the-top sexism. Bad moneda, no cookie.

cocoa butter is delicious
I have major issues if I go shopping for this and I can't locate it

I was into images of people I don't know when I was younger, but they've lost their appeal.

Haha, faux tramp stamps with Mickey and Hannah montana

and for the record the Hillary language made me uncomfortable as well. I too, was essentially rolling with your opinions/points and then you went there and I was just like okay wow. Like what? then I moved on cuz ppl trip when they go on rants, but that doesn't mean I didn't perhaps just learn something about you.
