You'll try not to post again? wot?? :D nonononono

Hoping the battery solves it!

We had some Revere gear too! I wonder how many LiveJournalers remember that stuff :>

*grins* It was a long, mostly mundane ramble about my day, but I’m happy you got through it. That’s the result of time on my hands!

I find the battery issue interesting, like TIL and whatnot. One of our work computers was shutting down frequently, blue screen :( even, and I wonder if that was why. We shall see!

I grew up with Revere Ware. I bought a set for myself in 1978. My wife grew up with Revere Ware and bought herself a set as well when on her own. The copper bottoms are all tarnished now, but the stainless shines! Maybe I’ll write about these some time (ramble alert).

I ran the portable generator to be ready in case Debbie comes up the coast in a malevolent fashion and we lose power.

Took me a moment to realize that's probably a storm, not a ornery in-law.

So those are the highlights from my first retirement Monday. I’ll try not to post like this again :D

You mean not about golf, and without pics? Yeah. :D

Glad you had a good first retirement Monday though, and I hope there'll be more good ones!

*laughs* Debbie is a large storm off of Florida now. We should see its remnants, or worse, at the end of the week.

I was adulting all day- like my dad would have probably done on a daily basis. The shape of things to come? I could almost picture myself in the classic 50s scenario with me repairing some object or another, smoking a pipe, at the garage workbench.

Revere cookware was part of my mom's kitchen along with T-Fal and other memorable brands back in the day.

We're getting some thunderstorms here at present with Debby's remnants heading this way soon.

We have had lots of rain, but no thunderstorms as of yet (they are predicted). Debbie weather will hit us Friday/Saturday.
